Many people are dissatisfied with their nose. When they look in the mirror they see it as misshapen and disrupting their facial symmetry. Rhinoplasty surgery, otherwise known as a nose job, can correct the overall appearance of the nose, create facial harmony and even help with breathing issues in those who suffer from deviated septums or sinus problems.
A nose job can be done in a private surgical suite, an ambulatory surgical center or a hospital. A hospital is the most expensive setting, while a private surgical suite is the least expensive. Most people can have the work done in a private office or ambulatory setting, which is an outpatient procedure. Should you choose to stay overnight in a hospital and undergo an inpatient treatment, it would significantly increase the overall nose job cost.
BIA-ALCL: The FDA has identified an association between breast implants and a rare cancer of the immune system called breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). Implants with textured silicone and polyurethane-foam outer shells tend to carry the highest risk. In most cases, the cancer is found in the scar tissue and fluid around the implant.
A quick internet search will easily reveal the average cost of breast implants which can be misleading; these statistics rarely include costs associated with surgery like anesthesia, facility, and surgeons fees. Before you start mentally shopping for your new bikini or creating that new Pinterest board, consider the following factors that may affect the price of breast implants:

These three costs differ based on a number of factors. Surgeon's fees will likely vary according to the market, difficulty of surgery, and experience of the surgeon. Anesthesia fees can depend on local market factors and whether the person monitoring is an anesthesiologist or a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). The facility fee can be quite different depending on whether the procedure is performed in a hospital, a surgery center, or within a private surgical office of the surgeon. Whether or not a portion of the procedure can be covered by insurance also influences overall price.

Case 42: Crooked noses can be one of the hardest things to correct in Rhinoplasty, especially if there has been significant trauma involved. The entire nose must be reconstructed in order to make the desired improvements. It took a lot of work to straighten and improve breathing in this patient’s nose. At the same time, his Beverly Hills Rhinoplasty was designed to make his nose a little smaller, more refined, and less down-turned while still looking natural. Even the scar on his tip was improved as part of his surgery.

I perform many breast augmentation revision surgeries. The overwhelming majority of patients I see for revisions feel regret for not taking more time checking the background, training, results and safety record of the physician who performed their original surgery. I have created a checklist of what to look for in a surgeon. Look on my website, or cut and paste this: michaellawmd.com/how-to-choose-a-surgeon.html
Case 47: This patient’s primary surgery left her with valve collapse, nostril notching, persistent tip rounding and hanging columella. Secondary surgery involved correction of these issues with repositioning and reconstruction of the tip cartilages to improve tip contour. Although she is still a little swollen in the after photos, she is already happy with her new nose.

Hello! Thank you for your question. Costs of the breast augmentation procedure will certainly vary depending on your geographic location. Things to factor in for the surgery standpoint will be the facility fee, anesthesia fee, surgeon fee, implant cost (saline vs. silicone), other fees (e.g., acellular dermal matrix cost, pain pump, surgical garment, etc.). Typically augmentation with saline implants will be ~$1000 less than with silicone implants and ~$1000 less than shaped, cohesive gel implants. Consultation with plastic surgeons who you are interested in having perform your procedure and satisfied with the photographic results is advised. Financing options can be discussed with each office individually, if they offer, or there are other private institutions and companies such as CareCredit who may be able to assist you, if you qualify. A range of $4000-10000 is reasonable for a standard breast augmentation alone, depending on the factors above, the complexity, surgeon experience, and the implant chosen. Hope these answers help! Best wishes!
Some physicians promote low priced breast augmentation, only for a patient to discover that the price is for only one type of implant, with one type of incision. This may not be appropriate for all patients. Then, the "bait and switch" ensues. A different implant will cost more, pain control will cost more. An anesthesiologist will cost more, if an MD anesthesiologist is even an option. Then, just like buying a used car, the price will shift from the total price to monthly payments with a financing plan that could be very regrettable. This is a huge red flag. If these kinds of tactics are used, you, as a consumer should be very concerned.
Case 26: Narrowing a wide tip can really soften the face. The challenge in Ethnic rhinoplasty is in making a nose smaller while still maintaining good structure and support so that definition is enhanced. In these 15-month photos, you can now see how tip narrowing along with reduction of the bridge convexity has created a very pretty, feminine nose that enhances her beauty.
It's the anticipation. We all tend to worry about new things we are unfamiliar with, and rhinoplasty surgery is one of those things. If you've never had surgery before, it's not unusual to be nervous and worry about every little detail. Will it hurt? Will I be in pain? When rhinoplasty is performed using a general anesthetic, you won't remember the procedure and you won't feel a thing. Most patients wake up after surgery realizing there was nothing to be scared about – and feeling silly for having worried at all.
Some people opt for a temporary nonsurgical nose job—also called a liquid rhinoplasty—with hyaluronic=acid-based injectable fillers, like Voluma or Restylane Lyft. This minimally invasive procedure can camouflage bumps, create more symmetry, or lift and build up the tip of your nose. This approach has its limitations though. “If you have a large nose, it’s not going to get any smaller with fillers,” says Dr. Miller, though changes in proportions can sometimes make it appear smaller. It also can’t fix a crooked nose.
Case 60: Facial aging can be hard on someone who is naturally thin by creating a more severe and skeletonized appearance as facial fat is lost. A combined approach was used to create a beautiful transformation, including a trichophytic brow lift, lower lid tightening, and facelift along with a conservative rhinoplasty to straighten and balance her nose. Notice how the eyes are opened up and facial hollows are smoothened without the surprised look that can accompany over-aggressive lifts. You’ll also see that incisions are hidden within the hairline and natural skin creases making them almost invisible.
Some might think that this patient had had previous rhinoplasty with tip collapse, but she did not. Occasionally, the shape of the tip cartilages is very vertically-oriented, causing a deep groove in the nostril. She felt this, along with her marked tip crookedness, drew unwanted attention to her nose. Now, her nose is smaller, smoother, more defined, and just blends with the rest of her face.

Rhinoplasties, like other surgeries, especially cosmetic ones, can cost vastly different amounts. The price of any surgery varies with the complexity of the procedure, the expertise and reputation of the surgeon, and the geographic region in which the surgery is to be performed. Prices for the surgery can range anywhere from $3,000 to $15,000. Typically, whatever the fee is, the cost of rhinoplasty does not include anesthesia, operating room facilities, or other related expenses.

Every surgeon has determined what they feel is appropriate for their expertise and time performing this procedure and taking care of you following the procedure. But what is most important is that after you have done this screening and met with your potential surgeon that YOU feel confident in your choice. You have to stay in budget, but there are MANY other factors to consider! Good luck to you!
The elite experience extends beyond the surgeon to the facility, and the surgical team. You should be able to see the surgical theater and know who else will be in the OR with you during surgery. The Joint Commission (JCAHO) is an organization that provides certification to hospital OR's. The Joint Commission and AAAASF are two of the organizations that can provide certification to surgical suites. Some plastic surgeons elect to have their surgery centers dually certified.
The geographic location of the surgeon's practice can greatly affect the cost of rhinoplasty. More affluent cities and neighborhoods, such as Manhattan and Los Angeles, are plastic surgery hubs where some of the best surgeons in the world practice. Meanwhile, these areas also have a higher cost of living, which means higher overhead costs (rent, staff wages, utilities), and that translates to a higher overall price of rhinoplasty.
When you choose a surgeon with his/her relevant specialty and academic authenticity, it becomes more difficult. Even academic education passed in the best universities does not provide guarantees of surgeon’s skill. In fact, A and B points are necessary conditions but not sufficient. In our country, little attention is paid to scientific know-how of students before selection, and this results in the graduation of surgeons with higher scientific level but lower surgery skill and art. Now, how can we access to this information?!
Some patients still choose saline implants, which have sterile salt water in a silicone shell.  They can be filled after they’re placed, which means incisions and scars can be smaller. Some doctors consider saline rupture less of a concern because your body naturally absorbs the salt water, and patients can more easily see signs of a rupture (like a sagging breast) to catch it more quickly.
